据制片人法兰克·马歇尔称，《侏罗纪世界：统霸天下》（2022年）的剧情将标志著“新时代的开始”，人类必须与恐龙共存[1][2]。导演兼编剧柯林·崔佛洛花了九年时间制作《侏罗纪世界》三部曲。2022年5月，崔佛洛表示除了可能担任制作顾问外，很大机会不会回归执导其他《侏罗纪世界》系列电影[3]。
2024年1月，环球影业宣布正在开发一部新的《侏罗纪世界》电影，并由大卫·柯普编剧，此前他曾担任《侏罗纪公园》及其续集《侏罗纪公园：失落的世界》的编剧。与其他《侏罗纪世界》电影一样，该片将由马歇尔的电影公司甘迺迪/马歇尔公司制作，而史蒂芬·史匹柏将担任执行制片人[4][5]。据报导，电影将开启一个具有全新故事情节的“新侏罗纪时代”，《侏罗纪公园》和《侏罗纪世界》两代演员班底克里斯·普瑞特、布莱丝·达拉斯·霍华、山姆·尼尔、萝拉·邓恩以及杰夫·高布伦预计不会回归[4][6]。
2024年2月初，大卫·雷奇曾经就执导电影进行短暂的谈判，但最终因创意分歧而退出[7][8][5][9]。2月中，确认由盖瑞斯·爱德华执导[10]。据了解，史匹柏喜欢爱德华执导的2014年电影《哥吉拉》，而爱德华本人也是《侏罗纪公园》系列的粉丝[11][12]。2月底，片名被揭露为《侏罗纪城市》（Jurassic City）[13]。

2024年3月，史嘉蕾·乔韩森参演[14]。5月，乔纳森·拜利、马奴·贾西亚-鲁尔福、鲁伯特·佛列德、马赫夏拉·阿里和露娜·布蕾丝参演[15][16][17][18][19]。6月，大卫·雅克诺参演[20]。
拍摄[编辑]
该片于2024年6月13日于泰国展开主要摄影[21][22][23]。拍摄也将于2024年7月至9月在卡尔卡拉的马尔他电影制片厂（Malta Film Studios）进行[24]，然后移至伦敦和埃尔斯特里天空制片厂继续拍摄[25][26][27]。预计拍摄将于2024年10月18日杀青[21]。约翰·马西森将担任电影摄影师[28]。
